Is there a minimum rental period that I can store my goods?
Yes the minimum rental period is one week. There is no maximum time limit, some customers have been storing for over 10 years!
How much does storage cost?
Depends on the size of space you need and for how long. We are here to help you so please call us to discuss.
Can I have access to my goods whenever I like?
Yes, you can come and go as many times as you like during our long opening hours and at no extra cost.
How do I move my goods into storage?
We are here to make storage as easy as possible, you can use one of our vans free of charge to move in or alternatively we can suggest a few removal companies
If I need packaging materials, where can I buy them?
Dickson Road Self Storage have a whole selection of boxes, tape and bubble wrap at competitive prices, just telephone us, we would be pleased to help.
Do I need to insure my goods?
Yes, either insure your goods with us or extend your house contents policy. Our insurance is not expensive and you only pay for the time you have the goods in storage.
What can I store?
You can store virtually anything apart from the following items, living items such as animals or plants, hazardous materials such as flammable liquids and explosives, food and other perishables, illegal or unauthorised goods and firearms.
How do I know my goods are safe?
We have CCTV throughout the building and the alarm system is fully monitored and linked to the police.
How long has there been a self storage facility at Dickson Road?
Since 1998 and still with the same manager that was there for the opening many years ago.

Telephone us to discuss your storage needs or even better just call in and see us, we would be pleased to show you around our storage facility, park inside our building in the loading bays on Walker Street.
How do I pay for my storage?
We accept cash, cheque, credit or debit cards or you can set up a standing order.
Do I have to pay a deposit?
No, we make it as easy as possible for you to move in, you just pay for the initial rental period that can be as short as a week.
What do I need to bring when I first start storing?
You will need some form of photo ID for example passport, driving licence, student ID card and of course your first weeks rent.
What are the opening times?
Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5.30pm Saturday 9.00am – 4.00pm Closed Sunday
